Eaton Canyon Nature Center
A Museum of Nature
The Eaton Canyon Nature Center, on the city’s northeast outskirts, provides information and trailheads for the San Gabriel Mountains. The Nature Center’s 7,600 square feet are filled with a wonderful mix of displays, live animals, and Eaton Canyon information, including various taxidermied creatures and birds.
Several trailheads are located just outside the Nature Center’s front door, allowing visitors to explore Eaton Canyon. Eaton Canyon Falls, by far the most popular, is a four-mile, family-friendly waterfall that attracts a large population. The trail is open all year, although the best time to visit the falls is in the late winter or early spring.
