The Gamble House
Historic Mansion
David and Mary Gamble, 2nd members of the Procter and Gamble Company, commissioned this historic mansion and spectacular piece of architecture in 1908. The city of Pasadena now owns this magnificent mansion.
The city offers a variety of tours to observe the fine detail incorporated into this historic bungalow, along with a popular one-hour docent-led tour of the home’s interior. Visitors can also take special “Behind the Velvet Rope” tours, which allow them to study the Arts and Crafts-style elements of the structure with a flashlight.
Reservations are advised because tour hours fluctuate throughout the year.
